The District 10 Accessibilities Committee helps carry the A.A. message to alcoholics for whom it is difficult to attend meetings regularly, such as those with chronic illness or with physical limitations in sight, hearing, or mobility, the home-bound, or persons with limited reading skills.

WHAT WE DO…
The Archives Committee collects and preserves records and historical material. The Archives Committee assists home groups with group history forms and maintains archives display to bring to the District and home group events. Archives hosts two events each year, an Old Timers and an Early Timers meeting.

The purpose of this committee is to coordinate, encourage, facilitate, and offer a forum to individual AA members and groups who are interested in carrying our message of recovery to alcoholics behind the walls of correctional facilities.

Create a Book of Motions and District Guidelines (Book of Current Practices) from Archived minutes.
Present a report of Committee activities orally at the District meeting and in written form for inclusion in the District minutes.
Hold quarterly meetings to fulfill its responsibilities
Update the Book of Motions and the District Guidelines (Book of Current Practices) quarterly once original books are completed.
E-mail District Web Chair each quarter an updated copy of the Book of Motions and the District Guidelines (Book of Current Practices).
Provide the District Finance Committee with an annual request for funds at budget time.

Gratitude Dinner Committee

Public Information and Cooperation with the Professional Community
WHAT WE DO…
The Information/Cooperation with the Professional Community (PI/CPC) Committee communicates with professionals in health care, law enforcement, treatment, corrections, human resources, counseling, sociology, ministry, education, communications, and judicial systems. The committee cooperates, without affiliation, with those seeking to help those who may have a problem with alcohol.
The Committee provides support and resources to A.A. members seeking to educate professionals with whom they come in contact and provides speakers at schools and civic groups. The committee also maintains a PI/CPC display for group, district, and community functions. If you would like us to bring our display to your group anniversary or would like more information, please feel free to contact us. Our Committee is open to all, and we would love for you to join us.

WHAT WE DO…
The Purpose of the District 10 Treatment Committee is to encourage and coordinate the work of individual AA members and Groups in carrying our message of recovery to alcoholics in treatment facilities, outpatient settings, detox centers, hospitals, shelters, and halfway houses. Further, the Committee works to set up a means of “bridging the gap” from the facility to an AA group in the individual’s community.
